Dorm Life!

Hey guys, it's Natalie! :) Just wanted to update you on the dorm life at ACPHS. The dorms here are beautiful (esp. compared to other college dorms!) I will attach pictures of my current dorm so you can check them out! I know that was one of my deciding factors when I came to college... and they were sooo nice and accommodating, I couldn't have been happier!
In your 1st year, you will most likely live in South Hall. The rooms are set up as doubles, triples or quads. Most of the rooms are doubles. Each room has their own private bathroom (shower, toilet, sink), 2 beds (assuming you're in a double), 2 dressers, 2 desks with hutches, a fridge, a microwave, and 2 closets. Cable is provided and wireless Internet is also included. You do take a roommate quiz after you are accepted in order for the college to see how compatible you will be with other students. If you find someone at an open house, accepted students day, sneak peek day, or even on facebook (check out our facebook link!), you can request to have them for a roommate- I did that and I was so happy with my choice!
In your 2nd year, you will most likely reside in Notre Dame. These rooms are set up as suites. There is 1 double and 5 singles in one suite. Each suite has a large common room with two coffee tables, a couch and 2 chairs, as well as a small kitchenette with counter space, cupboards, microwave, sink, and a full sized fridge. Each single is a nice sized room, bed, dresser, desk, hutch and closet included. Two suites share a bathroom- so ultimately, 14 people share a bathroom, but each bathroom has 5 sinks, 2 showers and 3 toilet stalls. That is where I currently live, and it is so nice to have my own room but still be with all of my friends! At the end of your 1st year, you choose who you want to be in the 7 person suite with.

Once you enter your 3rd-5th years, you can choose to move off campus, or remain on campus. These dorms are very nice and include suites of different sizes, ranging from a 2 person suite to a 5 person suite. University Heights, Princeton Suites & Holland Suites are the names of the dorms. These suites include full sized living rooms, kitchens, bathrooms and single bedrooms.

Well guys, I am one of the poor organic chemistry students who has a huge exam tonight at 7pm. So, needless to say, back to studying I go! Only 3.5 more hours of studying, a 2 hour exam & hopefully relaxing with my friends in our suite tonight! Have a good weekend everyone! :)

  1. Such a pretty room!! I'm trying to get things pink and green and some things in your room helped me think about what to buy. Thanks!

  2. I was just wondering, how would you go about finding a roommate on facebook? Because other schools like RPI have closed groups on facebook, but acphs does not, and I would like to find my own roommate rather than have a random one if possible. Thank you!
