Hey guys! Hope everyone is staying warm and enjoying their February! I just returned from a 5 day trip to Florida so getting back into the groove of things is a bit rough! I had my first physics exam today, I think it went pretty well but we shall see! Tonight, my friends and I are heading to the movies to see "Valentines Day," and having some dessert at Cheesecake Factory! :)
I'm a 2nd year student, and I wanted to give a little background on the 3rd year entry process, which is a little different than previous years. ACPHS is a 0-6 early assurance program, but there is still requirements that each student has to meet after their 2nd year in order to be accepted into 3rd-6th years, or the "Professional Years." Each student must:
>Successfully pass each course
>Take a minimum of 2 elective courses
>Maintain a cumulative 2.5 GPA
>Successfully pass a writing assessment
>Successfully pass an interview (by a faculty/administrator panel)
>Successfully pass a background check
Currently, I have completed the writing assessment and my interview is just 2 weeks away. The school is offering "Mock Interviews," where students can go practice for their interview before they go in front of the panel for it. I love interviews and presentations, so I am excited... but even more excited to (hopefully) be accepted into my professional years & get my degree! :) Anyways, back to work for me! Acceptance letters are going to be mailed out soon... so the admissions office is busy at work! Have a good weekend everyone!
