Hey first years! It's Bri! :)
With moving in right around the corner, you guys must be pumped! :)
You probably have a lot on your mind, including how much you're going to miss your family and friends. While it's inevitable that you're going to miss them, there are tons of things you can do to make it not feel so bad!

1. Print tons of pictures with you and the special people in your life! Join a website like shutterfly.com or snapfish.com, and you can get free prints for joining! Decorate your room with these photos, and you'll feel like you are surrounded by your friends :) I do this every year :) Get creative! Make collages, get fun frames, and put the pictures wherever you want :)

2. Set up times to makes skype or phone chats with your friends and family. I skype with one of my friends every Thursday, and talk on the phone with another every Sunday. Have a routine keeps you connected to your friends and knowing that you will have allotted to talk to them each week helps you to miss them less!

3. Visit your friends! Figure out weekends when you're both free, and arrange a visit. There are trains and buses in Albany, so you  can get almost anywhere. Switch off who is going to visit who, so you both can get a chance to meet each others's college friends and experience each other's campuses!

4. Don't be afraid to make new friends. You will meet some amazing people when you move in, so don't hesitate to connect with them! Having friends on campus makes adjusting a lot easier, and they'll get going through the same things as you.

I hope you all are excited for moving in! Enjoy your last few days of summer, and I'll see you all around campus soon!
