Hi All!

Hi Everyone!

My name is Sarah DeRuosi, and I am a 3rd year in the Pharm. D program. I am originally from the little ol' state of Rhode Island...so being in New York is quite an amazing scene! I came from a pretty large high school of over 1,600 people...large enough that on the day of my graduation, I sat there and said "who is that?" to a good handful of people that I had no idea were even part of my grade. Now that I attend ACPHS, I enjoy being in a more "tight-knit" community, where I am very familiar with many of my fellow students on campus, and can actually recognize someone when I pass by them.

I am Vice President of the Dance Team, member of our chapter's Colleges Against Cancer, and Fundraising Chair for our chapter of the American Pharmacists' Association. My number one hobby since I was a young child has been dancing..and when I found out that ACPHS had a dance team, I was absolutely estactic!

Well, today is our first snowfall of the season...and I must say that even though we only have about 6 inches of snow...I am not used to it. I can only remember Rhode Island having 2 blizzards, so to me, dealing with snow is not like being near beaches in the summer. I'm sure a lot of people have the day off of school today, but we dont' have enough here quite yet for a snow day. I'm sure our snow day will come soon enough though....well this is it for now -- hope all of you have a wonderful holiday season and I'll talk again in 2010 :-)
