My End of Semester Reflection

Classes-over

All finals- done and passed

Christmas shopping- almost done

Packed to go home for 4 weeks- slightly

It’s end of the fall semester, I’m done with all of my classes and finals and am getting ready to go home for 4 WHOLE WEEKS (clearly I’m pretty excited.) I’ve always found that this point, the crossroads between the fall semester and spring to be a good time to look back and make changes for the spring. And this coming semester is going to be my last semester of taking classes at the college. As part of my program, this summer and the following fall semester I will be doing rotations in hospital laboratories to finish my Biomedical Technology degree. All leading up to a year from this December- graduation! I meet this new chapter with mixed feeling, I’m happy to be moving on, especially because that January I will be beginning Physician Assistant School. But at the same time, I’m sad to leave ACPHS and all of the fond memories I’ve made here. It’s a scary thought, moving on into the “real world” of grad school, but I feel well prepared from ACPHS to do that. I have the knowledge from my courses here, all I have left to do is apply it to the real world.

So how am I going to make the next semester rock?

Although my main focus is OF COURSE my academics, I’m going to be sure to make time for my friends and fun.

Make the most of all of my classes, as I’m sure I’ll be using the knowledge in PA school down the road.

Really get to know my professors (more so than I do now) to make lasting connections that will go beyond my time here at ACPHS

Last but certainly not least, find time to relax. Although it seems impossible with a hectic class schedule, clubs, homework, studying, and time for friend, relaxing and getting enough sleep is a vital part of doing well in school.

Happy holidays!
