I am officially in countdown mode!

8 days until the last day of classes for this semester

15 days until the last final exam of the semester

23 days until Christmas!!!

I have mixed feelings about my countdown when it comes around each year. I am always excited about the Holidays, spending time with my family and friends, and taking a break from school. However, I look at the coming end of the semester and realize that I have so much left to do…Quizzes, exams, assignments, and I need to squeeze some present shopping in there too! As I count down the days, my list of things to do seems to get longer and longer.

My countdown also makes me realize that I am going to be away from most of my friends for an extended period of time. I have made some great friends here at school and it is always strange when we are not hanging out together. I am going to miss our late night group study sessions, our long lunches where we talk about everything and anything. I know we can talk on the phone, email, or IM each other, but it is definitely not the same as seeing each other all day every day. This is why I am looking forward to my next countdown after Christmas…

47 days until the start of second semester...back to my friends, back to my schedule (I am a very type A person, so I love a strict schedule!), and back to what has become my real life…College!

Until then, I am going to enjoy my last few weeks of school, enjoy the Holidays, and will soon enjoy some rest and relaxation. I hope all of you enjoy the same!
