Hey everyone,

Since I posted last a lot has been going on! The semester is in full swing now. My first PTP&M class is already complete! There are two pretty exciting projects I'm working on now. First, is a YouTube video for the admissions page! I've been working with Ruth on filming a video that focuses on our current 1st years and getting their perspective on school, campus life and such. It's been really fun getting to work with the students we recruited! They were such great sports letting us come into their rooms and ask them all kinds of questions. We're wrapping up production today and hope to have the video posted in a week or so! It's been fun putting the video together but we're by no means movie pros, so don't expect us to be going to Hollywood any time soon! Keep your eye on our facebook page for the link!

Second, I am working with fellow students to launch a new organization on campus, The Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy - ACPHS Student Chapter! AMCP is a professional organization of pharmacists, physicians and other health care providers that focuses on getting patients the best health care possible. For our first big event we'll be making an appearance at ACPHS's upcoming health fair. We will have a booth set up for seniors to come and talk to us about changes in the EPIC health care program and how to select the best Medicare Part D plans for their needs. This is just one of the many aspects of managed care, and we're excited to get the organization up and running so that we can host more community health events like this one!
