There have been a lot of visitors on campus lately!
This past Thursday was our 7th Annual Health Fair which was open to the public. Many of the clubs and organizations on campus put together some great booths. Our students did a great job of educating everyone on a variety of topics from medication safety, Medicare Part D plans, and cancer awareness. We had some local businesses in attendance as well. Four Corners Pharmacy, an independent pharmacy about 10 minutes from campus, came and did a great presentation on Asthma and COPD. My personal favorite was the Albany Massage Therapy booth that gave out free massages to attendees! There was also a medication take back station where you could bring unused or expired medications to be disposed of properly. Something new that was added this year was a farmer's market that featured local vendors. There were some great vegetables, baked goods, and jams and jellies being sold! All in all the day was a huge success!
This past Saturday was our first fall Open House! Many prospective students and their families came to campus for a sneak peak at what ACPHS has to offer. The day featured information sessions for all of our degree programs, parent and student panels and of course a campus tour! Many different departments were in attendance including financial aid, registrar, and athletics. I really enjoyed meeting all of the families that came and hope that they had a great experience on our campus.
