Hi Everyone,
This is Tyler blogging again. A lot has been going on since my last post. The semester is now in full-swing and everyone is busy with school work and extra-curricular activities. It is hard to believe how quickly this semester has gone by- we are already half-way done!
I am really enjoying all of my classes this semester. One of the classes that I find most interesting is pathophysiology. It is interesting to learn how the human body works and about different diseases that affect the body's normal function. This class is extremely relevant to all of us as future health care professionals. In order to understand how to treat a particular disease, it is necessary to understand the body's normal function and how the disease alters that function. We are currently learning about the nervous system and different diseases associated with senses like vision and touch.
Another class that I really enjoy is Pharmacy Skills Lab. In this class we learn about all of the different things that we will actually do as practicing pharmacists. This prepares us for the rotations that Doctor of Pharmacy students complete over the summer, as well as provides us the skills necessary to enter the workforce. Currently, we are learning how to compound ointments.
I hope you all have enjoyed this update. Keep checking back for more updates.
-Tyler
