Hi Everyone! My name is Ruth Philip and I am a 5th year Doctor of Pharmacy student. Just wanted to introduce myself before I get started...I am from New Milford, a really small town in northern New Jersey. The town is so unique that we have 2 CVS stores within 5 miles of each other :)

It's only the 4th week of school and 5th year is already in full swing. Our class just had our first exam in Nephrology last week. It went well! Now our class is getting ready for 2 exams next week: Neurology on Wednesday and Nephrology on Friday...kind of nervous but I know that if I pace myself and time manage I will be fine.

Last weekend my friends and I relaxed and had fun because we knew this week would be all about the books. On Saturday, LarkFest took place in Albany. It was a lot of fun! Lark Street is closed down to traffic and there are a lot of vendors set up on the street. They had a few local bands playing and tons of food.

It was also my friend's birthday on Saturday, so after LarkFest, we all went out for dinner and drinks at Bombers and then went out for a night out in downtown Albany. There was great music and a lot of people out. It was a lot of fun!

It was a great weekend and now it's time to hit the books and do well on the upcoming exams.
