Welcome!

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to all of our new and returning readers. I hope everyone had an enjoyable summer. My name is Tyler and I will be writing blogs throughout the year. As an introduction, I am currently a 3rd year student in the Doctor of Pharmacy Program. I am from Syracuse, NY. A few of the things that I enjoy are skiing and watching sports, especially college basketball.

The semester is off to a great start! We just completed the second week of classes. While summer was a relaxing break from school work, it feels good to be back and starting a new semester. All of the classes that I am taking this semester seem really interesting. In the Doctor of Pharmacy program, the third year is the start of the "professional years" of the program, so we are learning about a lot of really neat things.

One thing that I would encourage all students to do is become involved on campus. Despite our small size, ACPHS has countless clubs and organizations that are active across campus. One club that I am involved with is Colleges Against Cancer. This organization is involved with numerous activities throughout the year, including Relay for Life in the spring. For those not familiar with Relay for Life, it is an all-night fundraiser with food, music, and other fun activities. Our chapter of Colleges Against Cancer is very active and always raises A TON of money for this great cause. We were recently awarded Outstanding Chapter of the Year and recognized as a Leader of Hope Chapter for all of our hard work and dedication.

I hope that everyone has enjoyed reading this post. Check back often for new updates about ACPHS and the events on our campus.

-Tyler
