Hello readers!

This week ACPHS students are on Spring Break! Although many students have headed out of town to sunny places like Florida, South Carolina and California, the weather has been great here in Albany too! It's definitely been a very nice week to be off from school. Hopefully everyone has had a chance to get outside and enjoy this beautiful weather! Campus will be buzzing again on Monday, when the last few weeks of the semester will be underway. To me, it always feels like the last 6 weeks fly by! There is so much going on in April. Some of the big events I'm really looking forward to are Relay for Life, Spring Fest, and my class' All the Way celebration.

Relay for Life is an overnight event held on the track here at ACPHS. It is a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. Relay has always been a very successful event here at ACPHS, I think being a Health Science school our students have a great appreciation for the work that the American Cancer Society does! Many of us have family or friends that have been affected by cancer, but we also see cancer from the health care provider's point of view. Our students are working hard to make this year's event even bigger than last year!

Spring Fest is ACPHS' annual end of the year celebration for faculty, staff and students! Everyone from the campus community is invited to enjoy some good food, music, and games outside on the field (weather permitting!). It's a great chance to get together with friends and have a good time before the crunch of finals week!

Finally, a tradition here at ACPHS is for the 3rd year class to have a semi-formal called Halfway and the 5th year class to hold a formal called All the Way. These are both occasions to celebrate the progress we've made through the program! This year my class will be holding our All the Way celebration. It's been a lot of fun preparing for the night, we're all really looking forward to celebrating together one last time before we head out on rotations next year!

Now that you are all briefed on some of the upcoming events on campus, keep checking back to see how they all turn out!
